Beeswax Free Products:

Bees are fascinating creatures that play a crucial role in pollination and the ecosystem. One remarkable fact about bees is that it takes them an astonishing amount of effort to produce beeswax. It is estimated that bees must fly approximately 150,000 miles to yield one poud of beeswax.

Beeswax is a natural substance secreted by worker bees and is used by them to construct honeycombs. These intricate structures serve as storage units for honey, pollen, and the development of bee larvae. Humans have long recognized the valuable properties of beeswax, leading to its use in various products such as candles, cosmetics, and even food items.

However, the usage of honeycombs in certain products has raised ethical concerns, particularly from organizations like PETA . According to PETA using honeycombs in products can be seen as an act of cruelty towards bees.

When beekeepers collect honey, they often remove entire honeycombs, disrupting the bees' natural habitat and food storage. This can cause stress and harm to the bees, as they have to expend additional energy and resources to rebuild their honeycombs.

PETA does not certify products that utilize honeycombs as "Cruelty-Free."
